Our founder Josh Adams bought his first farm when he was in his mid 20's. During a particularly aggressive insect invasion he hired the spray plane in the photo shown to kill the bugs that were invading and eating his crops. The spray came down lightly until a puff of wind blew some of it on his lawn. "It completely offended my senses" he said. He knew something was not right. Growing feed and food should not include these toxic and offensive substances. Through the constant exercise of asking why, he identified the essential role microbiology plays in plant, animal, and human health. With this in mind he was able to craft unique processes and methods that allowed him to lower input costs by 15.6% and increase his crop yield from 11-44%. He did so on up to 2600 acres in different growing zones and soil types over a 15 year time frame.
He now actively seeks to increase this kind of management over as many acres as possible through his company Living Soil Management Inc.
